Special congrats to Madison Badgley (7th) and Alejandra Carranza (8th) for winning the Zillah Excellence Award for their grades - that is an amazing achievement and I'm so proud of them both!
7th Grade LA:
Monday - We will complete the 4th section of our WebQuest for Freak the Mighty in class. We will also read the first five chapters of the book. Students will have a worksheet that they can use as a study guide on their quiz and final exam.
Progress reports went home with students today... please look for them and sign and return by Wednesday.
Tuesday - Students will have a quiz on chapters 1-5. We will then read chapters 6-7 and continue the comprehension worksheet.
Wednesday - Students will begin a character web to help them organize the characters in the story. We will read chapters 8-10 and continue the comprehension worksheet.
Thursday - Students will have a quiz over chapters 6-10. We will read chapters 11-12 and continue the comprehension worksheet.
Friday - We will read chapters 13-15 and continue the comprehension worksheet. The next quiz will be on Monday.
8th Grade LA:
Monday - Wednesday - Students will be finalizing their wiki pages, editing their video skits, and preparing to present their web pages to the class on Wednesday.
Thursday - We will begin the novel The Outsiders and read chapter 1 in class. Students will have a packet to summarize each chapter that they can use on their final test.
Friday - We will read chapter 2 in class. Students will have a "Tuff Collage" to work on at the end of class and over the weekend.
5/31 - Memorial Day
6/1 - 7th and 8th grade extra credit book report due
6/7 - End of Year Dance (time TBA)
6/8 - Last day of school!!
