I hope you all had a restful holiday weekend. My husband and I spent ours cheering for WSU in what we hope is not their only win this season =] and visiting family in Spokane.
7th Grade LA:
Tuesday - Thursday - Students will be working on baseline reading assessments in class during the first part of the week. These assessments help me identify areas of need in reading and modify my lessons to address those needs throughout the year. Students will complete the tests in class and will not have homework on these days.
Friday - Students will begin their Give Me Five letter today. The information for this letter can be found here. Students will have an hour of class time to start their letters, however any remaining work must be done at home. The letters are due at the start of class on Monday. This is one of two writing samples I will obtain from students at the beginning of the year. This is also used to help me identify where students need extra work for the upcoming months.
