About

I was born and raised in Marysville, WA. After high school, I attended Washington State University where I earned a degree in Women's Studies. I met my husband, Derek, in college and we were married in the summer of 2004. We decided that the Yakima Valley was where we wanted to call home. After working as a para-pro at Hilton Elementary in Zillah, I decided that I wanted to go back to school and get my teaching certificate. I attended Central Washington University and earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I completed my Master's Degree at City University of Seattle in Education, Reading, and Literacy in 2011. I primarily teach 7th grade English Language Arts but also enjoy teaching Social Studies, Computers/Technology, and coaching volleyball. I've been part of the team at Zillah Middle School since 2007 and absolutely love my job.

My husband and I have two children, Addison and Cohen, and currently reside in Moxee.
